Aerosmith – Aerosmith (1973)
A gritty debut that introduced Boston’s bad boys to the world, Aerosmith was produced by Adrian Barber, a studio engineer with roots in analog precision. Released in 1973, the album captures the raw swagger of a young band drawing heavily from blues-rock. Barber’s stripped-back production lets Steven Tyler’s rasp and Joe Perry’s riffs do the heavy lifting, especially on breakout track “Dream On.”
